Q. FastCase database: What? How?

FastCase is a database containing full-text primary legal materials including cases, statutes, court rules, regulations, and more that can be searched using keywords, natural language, or legal citation.

FastCase can be accessed through the Rasmussen College Online Library  (Articles > Database A-Z List) or through the Resources tab in any online class by clicking on the Search eResources link.

FastCase defaults to "Quick Caselaw Search."  Link to other legal materials by clicking on links in the left panel.

To search the database, select the type of materials you wish to search (cases, statutes, regulations, etc.) from the menu on  the left side of the page.  Select your jurisdiction (Federal or a specific state or states) and enter your terms in the search textbox and click Search.
