Paralegals often draft legal documents such as complaints and other pleadings.  A component of the this type of document is the caption.  The caption provides information such as "the location of the action, the court, the docket or file number, and the title of the action" (McCord, 2008, p. 142) as well as the parties involved.  It appears in the heading of the document and looks like the following:
