This question requires you to connect your knowledge about what the parts of the word mean with the types of wound dressings that are related.

A solid Google search might help. Consider searching:

define hydroactive dressing

"Define" tells Google you want a definition. means you want a website using the .gov domain (call this quality control because there is a lot of junk medical information online).

If you want to get a little more involved, try breaking the word into its prefix (hydro) and stem (active) and then search them separately in our Credo database to determine the meaning of 'hydroactive.'

Then use our Gale Virtual Reference Library collection to search for:

  • wound care
  • bandages and dressings
