An APA reference is composed of four pieces of information:

                        Author. (Date). Title. Access information.

Before creating an APA reference for a website, view the website and find the following information:

·Author or Group Author (who is responsible for this content?)

·Date content posted on the website

·Title of content being cited

·Website name

·Website URL where content can be found

Because there are no formatting rules controlling how information is presented on a website, you may have to hunt through the website to find this information. Also, please note that a copyright date is not a substitute for the publication date.  If a publication date is not provided, please use the (n.d.) or no date convention for this part of the reference.
