How would I research the history of a company?
Answer
There are several ways to research the history of a company:
- Start with the company's website. Some companies provide quite a bit of information right on their own website regarding how and why the company was developed, who founded the company, and complete timelines of important company events. Look for a History or About Us page.
- Find articles and company information in library databases. Remember, there may be less (if any) information about private or small family-owned businesses in library databases. Choose your company wisely. Not sure if your company is public or private?:
