Q. What is the procedure for using Quickbooks on a Mac for the D279/ACG2062C Computer Focused Principles course?

Whenever possible it is advised that students use a PC for the D279/ACG2062C Computer Focused Principles course (if you don’t own a PC, consider borrowing one from a friend, or come to campus and ask to use a PC that has QuickBooks installed). This is largely because QuickBooks work is almost never conducted on Macs in the workplace.  Basic instructions and links are provided below should borrowing not be an option.

Boot Camp (https://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/) is a free application built into most newer Mac computers which allows the user to create a parallel environment on the computer where they can install the Windows operating system. This enables you to have both Windows and the MacOS on the computer at once.

You will then need to access and download a Windows Operating System [OS]. Often, there are free trial versions of the most current OS available on Microsoft's site.
