Microsoft Teams: How do I turn on live captions and transcription?

Reading the words being spoken during my live classroom sessions enhances my understanding.

Answer

Live captions display to individual users when enabled. To turn on live captions, click on the ellipses button in Microsoft Teams and select 'Turn on live captions' as pictured below. Transcription occurs automatically and will display automatically when you review recordings in Microsoft Teams.
