How can I make a simple infographic with Canva or Adobe Express?

Answer

Making a simple infographic with Canva or Adobe Express

Let’s say you need to create a simple infographic that includes an image of the item you’re analyzing. The image will be in the page, and you’ll highlight various aspects of the artwork. For example, you might have an image of the Mona Lisa in the middle of the page, with notes around the image. You could even add arrows pointing to different parts of the painting, but don’t let the arrows be so big that they’re obnoxious or obscuring the artwork.

There are many free apps that you can use to create your infographic. If you’d rather stick with Microsoft PowerPoint to create an infographic, that’s completely fine. But, if you find it limiting or frustrating to work with, you can use popular web apps such as Canva or Adobe Express. Both web apps allow you to make infographics (and many other kinds of graphics), but you first need to create a FREE account before you can get started.

Other popular apps are Visme, Venngage, and Piktochart. They work very similarly to Canva and Adobe Express. They all require you to create a free account to get started.

Note: Infographics are often thought of as tall, narrow layouts, but they don’t have to be. They can be tall, square, or wide. A good approach is to start with a document that’s 1920 x 1080 pixels (or larger). When finished, download the infographic as a PDF file, then submit it.
