How do I crop a picture that I have inserted into a Word document?

Answer

Once you have added an image to a Word document, you may wish to crop the image.  Follow these steps:

1. Open your Word document and navigate to the location where you have inserted a picture or image.

2. Click on the image.

3. Click on Picture Format in the ribbon at the top of the page.

4. Click on Crop in the ribbon at the top of the page > click on Crop in the dropdown menu.

5. Heavy black lines will appear around the picture. Click and hold down the left button on your mouse and move these lines to crop the image as desired.
