Should I include the author's title, position, or other credentials in the APA reference list entry or in-text citation?

Answer

You typically should not include the author's title, position, degree, or other credentials. According to the American Pscyhological Association (2020) "Do not include titles, positions, ranks, or academic achievements with names in reference list entries (e.g., Reverend, President, General, PhD, LCSW)" (p. 287).
