I went to submit my exam in Blackboard and the Submit button is Gray. What should I do?

A gray or inactive submit button is currently a known issue reported with Exams using Respondus in Blackboard Ultra. 

  1. If your “submit” button remains gray or inactive, you will need to exit Respondus.  
  2. When doing so, you will be prompted with a popup. This is normal and you should continue to exit the exam. 
  3. After exiting, please relaunch Respondus and attempt to access the exam again.
  4. This should allow the “submit” button to activate so that you can successfully submit. 
  5. Your instructor may need to allow more than one attempt on the exam for this to be possible. If that is the case, please contact your instructor to request an additional attempt.
