What is the CDA Credential?
The Child Development Associate Credential from the Council for Professional Recognition is a national credential awarded to early childhood educators who meet competency standards in both education and experience. Competency is measured by completing:
- 120 hours of professional education
- 480 hours of professional experience
- A professional portfolio
- Statements of competence
- Family questionnaires
