What are Research Starters and how do I use them?

Research Starters is a feature in our Discovery database that links authoritative summary articles on thousands of popular topics. It is a great place to perform background research or to get ideas for any research project.

Research Starters content is obtained from various high-quality sources, including Salem Press.

When you place a general topic in the search box in Discovery, a Research Starter may appear at the top of the Result List. For those topics identified as most popular, Research Starters will retrieve relevant articles that link the user to related information.
