What is Padlet? How do I use this tool?

Padlet is a web-based application that allows you to create and post notes to a virtual wall.  You can adjust Padlet settings to allow others to post to your wall. Padlet provides a visual way to share information and collaborate with others.

Follow these steps to create a Padlet:

1. Navigate to Padlet.com

2. Create a free account. The free subscription allows you to create four Padlet boards.

3. Create a Padlet Board by clicking on 

4. Select a background from the options displayed:

5. Use the tools in the right panel to name your padlet, provide a description, choose the background, access the link to your padlet, and more. Once completed with your design, click Next.

6. Once you have your design all set and click the Next button, you can begin posting to your wall.  Click Start Posting to begin adding content to your wall.

7. At some point in this process, you will receive an email from the "Padlet Folks" informing you that your padlet is ready.  This email will include the URL to your Padlet in addition to other helpful information.

8. Click on the  in the lower right of the page to begin posting content to your board.

9. Use the pop-up box to select content you wish to post to your board.  This tool allows you to title your post, compose text, add a photo, a link, and more.

TIP: Click on the ... to view all options:

10. Post to your padlet!

11. Click on the Share link  and invite others to your Padlet, or change your settings to make public.

and click Close when you have completed selecting your options.
