What is digital content?

Digital Content is any information that comes in digital (electronic) form. It can include everything from Adobe pdf files to zip files.

Rasmussen University uses multiple types of digital content, eTextbooks through VitalSource, eBooks located in the Library's database collections, and embedded content. it may be found in Course Materials folder in your course. Here is an example, specific digital content may appear differently in the course. 

In online courses in Blackboard Ultra:

       

   

  Occasionally, there may be additional types of digital content found in the Assignments/Readings of a course. That content might include:

  • Electronic textbooks or eTextbooks
  • Electronic books (eBooks) like novels and nonfiction books
  • Power Point presentations
  • Word documents
  • PDF documents

    • Free web materials
      • Government documents
      • Government agency home pages

    • Subscription-based web materials (paid for by your Rasmussen Library!)

How can I find my course textbook?

You can expect a prompt response, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Central Time (by the next business day on weekends and holidays).

Questions may be answered by a Librarian, Learning Services Coordinator, Instructor, or Tutor.
