How do I find the market value of companies that do not sell stocks?

Answer

1. Go to the Finding Company and Industry Information page in the School of Business Guide, there are suggested databases there for researching companies. In particular, try the Mergent Market Atlas database, and be sure to select the D&B Private Company Database button. You will find some private companies in this database, but unfortunately, not all are available.

2. Watch the Mergent Market Atlas Basics video below for additional navigation instruction. Note, you will focus primarily on the Company Financials tab.
