How do I go about looking up specific journals to retrieve the DOI numbers? I viewed several articles in the databases, but can't get back to them!

I have the journal name, volume and issue. How do I retrieve them again without searching every database?

Answer

If the DOI number is the only piece of the reference that you are missing, you might want to use CrossRef to look up the DOI information about each article that you have instead of going back to the databases. If CrossRef doesn't have a DOI for you, follow the guidelines about what to provide instead (and feel free to contact a librarian for help if it gets confusing).

***If you find that you need to get more information and need to go back to the databases, your most efficient search will probably be in our DISCOVERY database, since it searches most of our other databases. Search by article title rather than by keywords.
