I need more specifics about margins in an APA paper. Help?!

Answer

APA's Publication Manual, mentions 1 inch margins as a guideline, not a rule.

To be specific, they say:

Use uniform margins of at least 1 in. (2.54 cm) at the top, bottom, left and right of every page. We recommend that you use the Page Layout -- Margins function in Word to set up the 1 inch margins:

In Word, select the Page Layout tab, then Margins, then Normal for 1" margins all around the page.

Margines are drawn in at the 1-inch mark so you can see how the header lines up in an APA-formatted paper.
