How can I record my voice for an assignment?

Answer

Some assignments require students to read answers and record their voice. There are two main ways you can accomplish this.

If you have a smartphone, it probably has an app called Voice Memo or something similar, or you can look for a free app to use. Then you can do the recording on your phone, save the file, and send it to your email so you can access it on the computer.

Alternatively, you can use a browser-based recorder. One we like is Online Voice Recorder; it's free to use, it doesn't require you to create an account, and files are saved locally on your computer (not on their servers).

You can access the recorder here: https://online-voice-recorder.com/

To start recording, click the microphone button. (NOTE: You will have to allow your browser access to your microphone.)

Click pause to take a break, and click stop when you're done.

Click play to hear the recording, or save to save it to your computer.
