APA Academic Writer, is a comprehensive resource on the APA editorial style developed by the American Psychological Association. It provides links to the text of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 6th ed. Follow these steps to find the authoritative text for APA questions:

1. Navigate to APA Academic Writer and click on the Learn tab.

2. Click on the Quick Guides button.

3. Scroll through the alphabetized list and find the topic of interest. Click on the Showing Details link to the right of the topic.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and view the information in the Learn More section in the right column.  A link to the section of the Publication Manual providing the specific rule is provided.  

5. Click the link to view the full text in a new window.
