How can I get links to work in a Word document?

My assignment includes a Word document that lists several articles with URLs.  How do I get the links to work so that I can see the article?

Answer

Some course assignments include a Word document that lists articles with links.  Follow these steps to activate the links to access the articles:

1. Open the document by clicking on the link provided in the course.

2. If the document opens in "Protected View," click "Enable Editing" at the top of the page.

3. Hold down the Control key (Ctrl) and click the article link.  The link will activate.
