Q. Is there an app for the online tutoring platform? I downloaded the Brainfuse app - how do I find my username and password?
Brainfuse has a free app (available for both ios and Android systems) that will allow you to connect with a professional tutor in Live Help or make a tutoring appointment with a peer tutor in Tutor Match.
When you download the app, it will ask you for a username and password. To find your username and password:
- Login to the online tutoring platform: link to it now
- On the top right part of your screen, click on “My Account”
- Under "My Account," you will see a username and password. Use this username and password to access the online tutoring platform through the app after you have downloaded it.
Using Live Help in the Brainfuse App
- After opening the app, click on "Live Help"
Then, select the Topic and Subject of your tutoring appointment from the drop down choices. If you cannot find the Topic/Subject you are looking for, please try in Tutor Match (instructions below). Once you hit submit, you will be moved into a room on your device with a tutor.
Using Tutor Match in the Brainfuse App
After opening the app, select "Tutor Match"
Select the Topic and Subject of the tutoring appointment from the available drop down options as well as the modality of the tutoring appointment (whether you prefer to have it on a campus, online, or over the phone).
Then, select the modality (online, over the phone, or on a campus) of your tutoring appointment. You can find these options above the calendar.
Next, select the date of your tutoring appointment. The days with dots underneath them are those with available appointments. When you click on a day, the available times for that day show below the calendar.
Enter your phone number and the focus of the tutoring appointment in the "Notes" section. Please note that you will receive an email from the tutor confirming your appointment. All appointments are tentative until confirmed by the tutor.
