Blackboard Ultra: How do I submit an assignment?
Answer
Every course at Rasmussen will have assignments that you are expected to complete in order to receive credit and complete the course. Specific types of assignments for each course are outlined in the course syllabus.
When you are ready to submit an assignment in your course, go to that assignment and select View Assessment.
Select Add Content to open the editor.
Select the paperclip icon, as shown below, to upload a file from your computer.
You can also use the options in the editor to format the text, embed images, and attach files. A status window appears to show the progress of the file upload.
Only your instructor can view the content you add.
Not ready to submit? Select Save and Close to save your work and continue later. Your text, comments, and files are saved on the page. When you return, you can resume working.
Submit your assignment. Finished? Select Submit when you're ready for your instructor to grade your work. When you submit, a panel appears with the date and time you made the submission. Select the View Submission link at the bottom of the panel to review your submission. When you finish your assignment, you must select Submit. If you don't, your instructor won't receive your completed assignment.
Note: The Submit button is disabled until you add content or answer at least one question.
Here are a few pointers when working on assignments:
- Pay close attention to the assignment instructions. The requirements may vary from course to course, and assignment to assignment.
- A rubric may be available to you so that you are aware of how you are being graded. If this is the case, make sure you review it carefully before starting your submission.
- If you can submit an assignment more than once, take advantage of your teacher's revise-and-review process.
- Submit your assignment in the file formats your teacher requested.
