The Mission and Service Council is excited to learn about the variety of topics our campuses are highlighting through Raising Awareness and look forward to seeing how we give back to our communities through the Community Investment project this fall. This year, we are advancing our mission to involve Rasmussen alumni in our projects to demonstrate the College's commitment to their career growth and recognize the impact they make in our communities.

Similar to how the topics are selected, each campus has autonomy to select how they choose to engage and involve their alumni. Use the list below as a starting point as you brainstorm options that may fit your project and campus culture. Your team is not limited to using one of these ideas, however, and we welcome campuses to choose their own if they have an idea that is not listed. Please add ideas that your teams generate in the form of a comment at the end of this FAQ so that other campuses may benefit.

Alumni engagement ideas:

  • Consider sending out a survey to find out what your graduates are involved with and if they would be interested in participating
  • Invite a graduate who may also be an expert in their field or have an inspirational story to share to speak on campus

  • Create an Alumni Spotlight bulletin board (Alumni Who Serve) on campus to highlight -graduates who give back to their community.

  • Support a cause chosen specifically by the alumni; invite students and graduates to participate in the community

  • Complete a campus fundraising event to support a non-profit where a graduate is employed

We are here to support you!  Please lean on your Mission and Council project mentor if you have questions or require our help. Thank you for making an impact in the communities we serve.
