What does SX and UX mean for grades?

Answer

The SX grade means that a course has been completed satisfactorily, as opposed to UX, which would mean the course was not completed satisfactorily.  The SX/UX grades are given for pass/fail courses, such as Reading and Writing Strategies.  Since there is no letter grade given, these do not factor into a student's cumulative GPA.
