In completing financial aid applications, who qualifies to be counted in the number in college?

Answer

To find who should be included in the “Number in College”, you want to first look at those who are included in your household number.  From those people you will count:

  • Yourself, as long as you are enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program.
  • Anyone besides you who will be attending college at least half-time during the upcoming academic year (July 1-June 30) and is enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program.

NOTE:  You will never include your parent(s) in this number, even if they are enrolled in college.
