eTextbooks make my eyes hurt! How do I prevent that?

Answer

Eye strain related to reading computer screens is sometimes called "digital eye strain." What can you do about it?

According to Kondrot (2014) these simple things might help:

  • Taking a break
  • "Palming" your eyes
  • Blinking more frequently
  • Wearing computer glasses
  • Keeping your monitor bright
  • Increasing the light
  • Checking your computer position
