I need to identify the nature and possible causes of the interaction of 5 different medications.

How can I research this?

Answer

According to the FDA (2013), drug interactions "may make your drug less effective, cause unexpected side effects, or increase the action of a particular drug."  You can visit the FDA's site to learn more about drug interactions and examples of drug interactions warnings.

For more information on medications, try the databases Nursing Reference Center and Consumer Health Complete. They are available in the database list, which is also linked under "e-Resources" in the Resources link in your classroom.
