Where do I find economic information like the consumer price index or the unemployment rate?

Answer

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is the best place to find information about employment, unemployment, and labor trends. See our answer about where to look in the BLS site for employment information.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics also provides access to the Consumer Price Index. Use the Subject Areas tab and then the Inflation & Prices section to navigate to it and related indexes.

Select Subjects then Inflation & Prices or Unemployment
