Are there tools to create tables, Smart Art, shapes, charts, or diagrams?

Answer

Yes!  There are a few resources you can use to create different types of graphics.

A Table:

  • In the Word or PowerPoint tool bar:
    • Click on Insert, then Table 
    • The type of graphic you selected will then be available for you to fill in info to completion   

 

Smart Art graphic:

  • In the Word, Excel, or PowerPoint tool bar:
    • Click on Insert then Smart Art  
    • Choose a graphic type using the list on the left 
    • Click on OK
    • The type of graphic you selected will then be available for you to fill in info to completion 

Shapes:

  • In the Word, Excel, or PowerPoint tool bar:
    • Click on Insert then Smart Art  
    • In the drop down screen, choose a shape and it will be insterted

Charts that include numeric data

  • In the Word, Excel, or PowerPoint tool bar:
    • Click on Insert 
    • Go back to the data in Excel and highlight it (the numeric info for which you want to create the chart)  
    • Click on Recommended Charts
    • Choose from the chart styles that are shown on the left
    • Click on OK
    • The type of chart you selected will then be available with your data inserted

How can I find my course textbook?
