Can I print or save pages from an eBook in the library?

Answer

The short answer: Yes, most of the time!

The long answer: Whether you can and how many pages depends on the restrictions set by the book's publisher. Most publishers allow up to 40% of the book to be printed--so if the book were 100 pages long, 40 pages would be available to print. This is per user, and it resets every 24 hours. 

There are some publishers who don't conform to the 40% rule. If you want to check on a specific publisher, we have printing restriction lists for eBooks in both EBSCO and ProQuest in the documents at the end of this Answer. 

The detailed record for each eBook in both ProQuest and EBSCO also tells you what the page restrictions are. You can see examples below:
