What is a rubric? A rubric is a kind of chart that lists specific criteria for earning a particular score. I.e It will show you what is expected to earn a certain point level.
Why should I use the rubric? Have you ever said "I don't know what the instructor is looking for?" The rubric tells you EXACTLY what your instructors are looking for. They will use the same rubric to score your work.
When should I use it? Look at the rubric BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER you work on your paper. Compare your work to it to know if you are meeting the criteria of the assignment.
