When you create an announcement, you can select the dates for the announcement to appear. You do not need to send the announcement via email.  Some announcements will only partially appear in the Announcements block because of the size of the announcement, and students will have to click on View More to see the whole announcement.

Announcements will appear for students by the date they are set to appear and in the order in which they were last updated or set for release.  Additionally, as a default, announcements will display for 30 days after they are posted; however, students can control and adjust how long announcements display in their courses and on their Rasmussen Home page.
