The basic format of an APA references page citation is:

Author. (Date). Title. Source.

Example for one of our webinars:

Schriefer, S., & Solsrud, C.  (2013, May 5). Taking the resources

tab for a spin [Webinar]. In LLC Webinar Series. Retrieved from

The format of a parenthetical in-text citation is (Author, Date).  For the example above, the intext citation would be:

(Schriefer & Solsrud, 2013)

More details on finding author, date, title, and access information for webinars:

Author.  When citing a webinar offered through the Rasmussen College LLC Webinar series, the author would be the individual or individuals delivering the webinar.  Most webinars include a slide with the presenters' names and campus locations.

(Date). The date segment would be the date that the webinar was initially presented and not the date that an archive was viewed (American Psychological Association [APA], 2010, p.210).  Again, the opening slide for the presentation will likely indicate the date of the presentation or the academic quarter when the presentation occurred.  The LLC Webinar schedule found at will also provide the date that a webinar is presented.

TitleThe title of the webinar should be prominently listed on the first slide of the presentation.  The LLC Webinar schedule will also provide this information.  Because the webinar is part of a series, the title of the webinar would be typed in regular font using sentence capitalization (APA, 2010, p. 210).  The title would be followed with a description of the resource type in brackets, ie. [webinar] (APA, 2010, p. 186).  This would be followed by:  "In LLC Webinar Series"  to indicate that it is part of a series (APA, 2010, p. 210).

Source.  This segment of the citation provides information that a reader would need to retrieve the resource. This segment would begin with the words "Retrieved from" followed by the URL to the webinar archive.  Again the archive URL can be located through the LLC Webinar Online Guide.
